Coach / Athletic Director
Brett Chivers, an Olympian sailor and retired U.S. Army veteran, is a dedicated homeschooling advocate and head volleyball coach for the Fayetteville Outliers, passionate about fostering character, skills, and a competitive spirit. Raised on Guam, Brett excelled in sailing, representing Guam in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. As one of Guam’s top sailors, he mentored young athletes, instilling teamwork and resilience, values central to his coaching and homeschooling approach. After serving 21 years as an Army aviator, he retired in 2022. Now, as President of Fayetteville Homeschool Sports, Brett coaches young athletes to excel through competition, emphasizing integrity and perseverance.
Liz Chivers
Liz lives in Fayetteville, NC, with her husband, Brett, and their three children. She has a passion to coach, teach, and mentor young athletes as they develop their skills and talents. Juris Doctor from Trinity Law School and a Ph.D. in History from Liberty University. She currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Manna University.
